I can't believe you are already two months!! The time seems to be going so so fast. You are starting to smile all the time. You are starting to "talk" to us and it is very cute. You think you big brother Jack is great and every time he gets near you, you start to smile. You still love being held and would prefer to be held to sleep. Josh loves the bath! He lays in the water and is so calm. If ever he is fussy and its close to bath time he immediately calms down as soon as his little body gets in the water. After I gave him a bath the other night Jack got in and laid on Josh's foam bear and laid back and wanted me to wash his hair, it was pretty cute!

I can't believe Josh has already been in our family for a month! The time seems to be going so so fast. Josh - you are such a sweet baby and you loved to be cuddled! You have started to smile and it makes my heart melt. You have a little bit of reflux which sometimes makes you very uncomfortable and it's so sad. January- Alec turned 24 and we hope for 2011 to be a good year.

February- Celebrated Valentines with my two favorite boys

March- I turned 28 and we found out we were expecting another baby!!

April- Wished mommies morning sickness would end

May- Jack turned two!

June- Celebrated our 3 year anniversary and our niece Kyla was born

July- Madison and Clay got married and Jack became potty trained

August- Played a Papa and GiGi's a lot in the summer

September- Jack moved to a big boy bed!

October- Jack went trick or treating and Jack ran his first 1 k

November- Celebrated being in our house for a year and finished getting things ready for baby brother to join us!

December- Josh joined our family!

Baby Shower!

Yes I am late in posting about this but better late than never! My sister, mom and Megan threw me a baby shower in the middle of November. It turned out so cute and all the food was so yummy. It was fun to get together with everyone and get the little man a few new things. I didn't get a picture of the whole group : (. But here are a few of the pictures I did get.

Welcome Baby Josh!

We welcomed Baby Josh into our family December 5th, 2011. He weighted in at 7 lbs 15oz and 19 inches. I went to work on the 5th thinking this baby was never going to come. At about 9:30 I was rocking babies to sleep and started to feel a few contractions. I waited until 10:45 and finally realized this baby was going to make his big debut. I called Alec and my mom and told them to meet me at the hospital. We arrived around 11:20ish. They checked me in and got me all set up. I was a six and ninety percent. It was just a matter of time.. many tears were shed not so much because of the pain but because I would think of Jack and start to bawl. Dr. Laine arrived around 12:30ish. She broke my water and things got a little crazy. The pressure was worse than I remembered. I was finally at a ten and ready to push. One push later and Josh entered the world! I was able to hold Josh right away and that was very nice. After things settled down Alec and Madison went and picked up Jack from school. He was so cute giving Josh lots of hugs and kisses. Josh got Jack a garbage truck and Jack couldn't have been more thrilled! Things have been going great and we are thrilled to finally have baby Josh here.

Video Games With The Boys!!

Jack loves hanging out with his daddy and uncles. The other night both of his uncles were over which means there is definitely going to be video games played. The boys were nice enough to give Jack and control and let him join right in. He kept telling them he was winning! He had so much fun and loved being one of the big boy!! Please note Alec's tone with my brother because he was not winning! Can we say poor sport?? Love him any way!!

Jack loves to help take care of the babies in my class and he loves to play with his babies at home. He has loved the fact that we have diapers and clothes at home that he can put on his dolls. The other day I came out of my bedroom and he was on his floor changing his baby. So cute!! He is really going to be the BEST big brother!!

Jack and Papa!

To say Jack loves his Papa would be the under statement of the century!! Whenever we are driving anywhere he asks if we are going to see his Papa and GiGi. Whenever we ask about how his night was when he wakes up in the morning he always tells us good and that he had dreams about Papa. He runs straight for Papa every chance he gets and if he gets in trouble when we are with my parents or even without the first person he wants to snuggle with is his Papa. When we went over to my parents the other night Jack and Papa had on matching outfits. Jack could not have been more thrilled to be matching his Papa.

We finally have most of the babies room put together. Jack has been so helpful with everything. He helped me put all the babies clothes away and kept telling me over and over, "I wear this when I was born". He helped put the diapers away and then helped me get the crib all ready. After we put the crib together he need to test it out and make sure it was safe for baby brother. Here are a few pictures of Jack testing out the crib.

Jack's First Time In The Snow!

Yes go ahead and judge us but, Jack's first time in the snow was just last weekend. He was only 18 months last winter and we didn't have snow stuff and he really wasn't that interested. But on Saturday when he woke up and realized it had snowed he wanted nothing more than to play in it and play in it he did! Luckily we got a snow suit from friends and he has a nice warm coat. We are still on the hunt for snow boats but he still had tons of fun running in the snow with daddy and trying to avoid getting hit by daddy's snowballs.

So we stuck with the "Jack" themed costume again this year and Jack was a "Jack-Rabbit". He looked so cute! He loved wearing the bottom half of his costume but wasn't so sure about wearing the ears. He did put the ears on for the trunk or treat at his school and then on Monday for the parade around his school. He wasn't so sure about trick or treating door to door. But he eventually caught on and was happy to get his candy. Thanks to his Aunt Megan for carrying him around house to house at the end when he was done. Thanks also to Gi-Gi for helping me make his costume, I couldn't have done it without her!

Building A Model Life Flight With Papa!

After we got home from the Home Depot fun we looked in the bag of fun things Home Depot had given us and there was a model of life flight to build. Jack was so patient and waited for Papa to get home from work so they could build it together. Jack was so cute helping put all the parts together and sticking on the stickers. I think they both had a great time building it.

A few weekends ago my mom called to see what Jack and I were doing. I told her the usually Saturday activities cleaning and relaxing. She told me to get him dressed and meet her at Home Depot, there were fire trucks, police man and and ambulance. We hurried and got dressed hoping we wouldn't miss the fun activities. When we got there everything was still there thank goodness and Jack was in heaven! He loves fire trucks, ambulances, etc. At first he wasn't to sure about getting in the fire truck but he eventually warmed up and climbed in the drivers seat. As we were getting ready to leave we notice life flight seemed to be getting really close. We stood for a few minutes and waited and life flight landed in the Home Depot parking lot. Anyone who knows Jack knows that he is in LOVE with life flight!! When he was potty training, going and seeing life flight was his reward for staying dry all day. He could not have been more thrilled that life flight was landing right in front of him. Thanks mom for the fun activities, pretty sure it made Jack's life complete!!

Run Bugs Run!!

Jack's school had a 5 k run for adults and a little 1 k for the kids. Jack was so excited all morning to get to go to the "farm" and run. As I am eight months pregnant, I had a friend run with Jack and yes the little man ran the whole way!! He took a little tumble towards the beginning but jumped right up and kept on going. He did awesome and was so proud of himself when he crossed the finish line. Yes I cried when he crossed the finish line! : )

30.5 Weeks!

I feel like I haven't blogged about this 2nd baby at all. So here we are about nine and half weeks away from having this little man (hopefully less) and we are all getting so excited!! My dad has been working so hard in the little mans room. We ripped out all the sheet rock and good thing we did, my dad said the walls were covered in mold! This pregnancy has gone so much faster than my pregnancy with Jack! I am still feeling great, and sleeping well and only have a little back pain, due to the fact that Jack loves to be carried by his mommy everywhere and I just can't tell him no, when he say's " I hold you Mommy". I can't believe we are getting so close. Jack is so thrilled about getting his baby brother when Santa comes. He is always telling us how he is going to get him a binky and we need to get the baby carseat in the car. He tells me that we baby brother comes, I will go to the hospital and that he will stay with his Papa and GiGi and then come visit me... so cute! I can't wait to see how similar or different this little man is from Jack. Here is a picture of my 30.5 week picture...please ignore the fact I look like a mess. : )

Last week at school Jack took quite the spill off the playground equipment at school. He landed right on his face and really scraped up the right side of his face. We moved Jack to a big boy bed two weeks ago. Well I wouldn't say we... I was doing school stuff one night and when I came home Alec had moved Jack's crib out of his room and his big boy bed in. I knew we planned on moving him but I wasn't quite ready and truth be told I probably wouldn't have ever been completely ready. I had a minor melt down when I came home and realized Jack was no longer in a crib. Having him sleep in a big boy bed and be potty trained has just made the fact that he is no longer a baby even more of a reality. Jack has done GREAT in his new bed. He lays down great and stays in bed all night!! Here are a few pictures of the big boy in his big bed.

Over Labor Day we went up to Mirror Lake. Jack and I hadn't planned on going but when his Aunts and Uncles arrived to pick up Daddy there was no way we were getting out of it. Jack actually did really well and was lucky enough to have people carry him on our hike in and out. We had a talk in the car about staying away from the water unless he was with an adult and he did great! Daddy even caught a tiny fish and Jack was totally freaked out by it. He much more enjoyed throwing rocks with his Aunt Megan and Aunt Madison. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed the day with family.

Park City 2011

Over Labor Day my mom, dad, sister, Jack and I went to Park City for the day. We went up to do some shopping and ending up getting the some Christmas p.j.'s and Christmas outfits for Jack and baby brother. I forgot how tiny the clothes are and can't wait to put baby brother in his tiny new clothes. Jack was glued to his Papa the entire time we were up there. I only took a few pictures but we had a great time shopping, playing on the slides and eating lunch. The few pictures that I did get were of Jack riding the rides. He was so excited to get on and as soon as Papa and Gigi put the money in and it started moving he wanted right off. He was then afraid to even sit on the non-moving ride after that. Let's Blow A Bubble!

Jack loves bubbles. His Gi-Gi bought him a bubble blower a few weeks ago and we play with it every chance we get! The other night he was running around with just his undies on and thought it was so so funny when the bubbles would stick to his belly. The bubble blower started acting up towards the end of our play, so i was shaking it and saying, "Come on". Jack thought this was the funniest thing he had ever heard. I didn't think to record it until he was almost over it being funny so you can't experience his really really hard laughing but you get the idea.

Jack loves water! He loves to go swimming or play in water any chance he gets. He loves going to his Papa and Gi-Gi's because they will let him play in the water for hours. Whenever we go over the first thing he does is head for the backyard to turn the sprinkler on and fill his buckets. He was lucky enough to have Aunt Madison over a few weekends ago to join in his water fun.

Baseball Game

A few weeks ago we went to a baseball game with my brother, sister and some friends. Jack was so excited to watch baseball. He LOVES playing baseball. He would play baseball for hours if we would let him. He lasted until about the fifth inning and then way ready to go home. We are hoping to attend more games next summer because Jack enjoyed it so much. He is giving his baby brother a kiss in the last photo : )

End of Summer Splash!

Every year work has an end of summer splash at a pool near our house. Last year Jack had so much fun playing in the water and going down the slide, we decided we would go again this year. He loved it even more this year! We went down the slide for about two hours straight (Thanks Aunt Madison for being a trooper and doing most of the sliding with him) He kept telling me "mama go behind me, I go by myself" not this year buddy, maybe next year in a life vest. Thanks again Aunt Madison for helping out!!

3 Years...

Why I can't seem to ever post our anniversary on our anniversary I will never know... So I will do our three year anniversary at three years and two months. Somedays I can't believe we have been married for three years, which really doesn't seem like that long especially when I see my parents who have been married for 32 years but we are still going strong so that is a plus! : ) We have had a big year with buying a house, switching jobs, having a miscarriage and then finding out we were pregnant again and there is no one that I would have rather had by my side. Alec still makes me laugh and smile through it all. I am so happy I am married to him even if sometimes I am sure I don't do the best job showing it. He loves Jack, Baby #2 and I more than we will ever know and I am thankful everyday that we get to experience all of our ups and downs together.

Potty Trained!!

Jack is official potty trained. Wahoo!!! He is doing so great, he has only had a few rough days in the past two weeks. He loves getting to sit on the potty and then getting an m&m, when he actually goes. Here are a few pics of him sitting on his little potty and yes we let him watch t.v. while he goes potty and yes the potty is in our living room our upstairs bathroom is to small for his potty chair to fit in. Madison and Clay tied the knot at 5:00 p.m. in Deer Valley. We all had to be up there at 3:00 to get ready and take some pictures. My "baby" sister got married July 16th. I still can't believe she is married, she doesn't seems nearly old enough to be married. It was a beautiful yet emotional day. I cried from the beginning to the end. We went up to Deer Valley at 3:00 to do a walk through of the big day and then they were kind enough to let all of us ride the ski lift. Jack kept calling it a "boat" because the big base looked similar to a boat and he was thrilled that they let us take a ride. After we had her rehearsal dinner at her hubby's parents house. It was beautiful and the weather was perfect. Jack had tons of fun running around with my cousins little boy and the rest of us had fun visiting and watching the kids be wild.

We were at my parents a couple weekends ago and my parents were planting flowers and watering flowers and before I knew it Jack was in the sprinklers and having the time of his life. He would stand and wait for the sprinkler to hit him in the face and then take off running and laughing the entire time. Back at the end of June, I went to Vegas with my sister and some of our friends to help celebrate her upcoming marriage. This was the first time I have ever left Jack for more than a night and I am not going to lie, I had a really hard time! We did have fun going to dinner and a show and hanging out by the pool.

Feeding the Ducks

Jack loves to feed the ducks and geese by his papa and gigi's house! We usually try to feed them once a week. Jack gets right next to the huge geese and throws the bread to them and all the other animals willing to eat the bread. When they get to close he screams, "back up"! It must scare the geese because they back up every time.

We are thrilled to announce that we are expecting another little boy at the beginning of December. It was been a wild ride and I have been so much sicker than I was with Jack. Jack is excited to have a baby, he tells us baby brother and points to my tummy and sometimes will even give my tummy kisses. Water Park!!!

Jack's school has a end of the year bash at a water park. Jack had so much fun last year, we figured we would go again. Since Jack is part fish and a little older I figured he would love it. Well as soon as we get there and I asked him if he wanted to get in he kept telling me,

"I not to sure" really buddy you love the water. After some convincing he got in and didn't want to get out!! He played in the water, did some water slides and loved every minute of it!!

Easter Egg Dying!!!

Yes we are still way behind... So back on Easter Sunday Jack got to dye some easter eggs. He had so much fun and loved dipping the eggs from color to color. He even tired to be super helpful the next day and grab the eggs out of the fridge while I was making dinner, lets just say cleaning twelve broken eggs off the floor really isn't that fun.. : )

Wheeler Farm

One of Jack's friend had a birthday party at Wheeler Farm two weeks ago. It had been pouring rain all day so it was rather muddy, but the kids still had fun. Jack enjoyed looking at all the animals until some man told them to take their hands off the fences or the animals would bite them. Jack then proceeded to follow all his friends around crying and pulling them away from the animals. Thanks crazy man!!! Now my two year old is terrified that animals are going to bite him! He did however recover enough to enjoy his fair share of cupcakes. : )

I am so behind on blogging and I promise I will catch up! But I am going to start with the most important event that we had which was Jack-a-roo's 2nd birthday! How two years have gone by, I will never know!! I will say it has without a doubt been the fastest two years of our lives but, also been the most amazing!! I can't imagine what I would do with myself everyday if I didn't have Jack. Some days I look at Alec and say, " what did we do with ourselves before we had Jack"?? He has us constantly laughing and sometimes making us want to scream. He is very smart and wise beyond his years!! He is constantly learning new things. He loves being outside and playing with any ball he can get his hands on. He especially loves basketball and golf!! He is talking like crazy and loves to have phone conversations with his aunt madison, papa and g.g. He loves babies!! He loves coming into mommies class and hugging the babies and helping us give the babies their bottles. He loves to play sports with his daddy and uncles. He is still very much a momma's boy and I will say I love every minute of it!! We had family over on his birthday and he was beyond thrilled to have all the attention on him. Last year he wanted nothing to do with his cake and this year we had to light the candle twice for him to blow out and he ate every bite of his cake!! We love you more than words can express bugs!! Thanks for making us laugh and smile everyday!!!

Jack loves to be outside, he always has. On the days that the weather decides to be nice, he loves to go outside and play on his swing set. He went outside with daddy the other day and he had so much fun. He was not pleased when mommy ruined his fun by making him come in for a nap. : )

Singing With Friends!

Last Sunday the entire school sang a few songs during the church service. Jack's class got up to sing and he made a mad dash for his Ms. Jen. He could have cared less about singing!! He then realized one of his favorite people was up on the stage and ran and hugged him and just stood there the whole time hugging him while everyone else sang. He then got to watch his other favorite person sing with her class, as soon as she got off the stage he made a mad dash for her and stood there hugging her for about five minutes. He was so sad when it was finally time to say good-bye and go home. Here are a few pictures of the program.

Jack sometimes loves having his picture taken as soon as the camera comes out he runs up and say's "cheese" other times he is not such a big fan. The other night was a perfect example, he wanted nothing to do with the camera, but I just kept taking pictures.

This year Valentine's Day was pretty low key, as it always is. Alec and I have never really seen a reason to only express our love on Feb 14th. This year, we went out the weekend after and my parents kept Jack for us. It was so nice to go to dinner just the two of us (we don't do that nearly enough). We were going to go to a movie but, I was way to tired so we came home and hung out and went to bed early. Jack had so much fun playing with his papa, gi-gi, aunt mads and uncle clay. When I went to pick him up Sunday he had a new name for himself "Jackie" and if you try to say Jack, he quickly corrects you with "Jackie". We think he picked his up because almost all of his friends at school and several people in his life have an "ie" on the end of there name. Basketball with Daddy!!

Jack loves to play basketball. He will sit for a few minutes and watch the Jazz, then go get his little basketball and shoot in his hoop. Whenever his class goes upstairs to the gym, all Jack wants to do is "shoot in the hoop". He especially loves it when dada spins the ball on his finger. My Little Helper!!

Jack is such a big helper lately. He loves to help clean the floors, toilet, vacuum, do the dishes, do laundry. I also enjoy him helping, I will take the help as long as I can get it. He is also a super big helper at school. His teachers always tell me he is the third teacher in the room. He is always making sure the other kids are listening and doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing. He keeps them laughing all day with all his help.

More Yo-Yo Please!!

Jack is a picky eater to say the least. I don't know where he gets it from.... : ) One of his favorite foods is yogurt, which he calls yo-yo. He will know go to the fridge and get his own yo-yo and bring it to me and tell me to go get a spoon please. He is usually is super neat when he eats and gets all his yo-yo in is mouth. The other night he was feeling lazy and made quite the mess.

First Haircut In The Salon

Jack has had his haircut several times but, this was his first time in Aunt Mads salon. He was super excited when we walked in. He got to be a big boy and sit in the chair and look outside the window. He sat pretty still, he got to play with some clips and the hair dryer. Christmas this year was pretty low key. I realized after last year when Santa got Jack way to many toys and clothes that maybe Santa and I should have a chat and he could keep the presents a little more in control. Jack was super excited about Christmas and telling everyone what Santa says. Jack got a train table, some bath toys, a abc floor mat and a tool bench. He was more excited to unwrap the presents than anything else. When we went to my parents later in the day, he was more than willing to lend a hand unwrapping our gifts if you were taking to long. Jack's school did a christmas program on the 12th of December. It was super cute and funny to see all of the toddlers through pre-k up there singing on in the case of the toddlers watching them climb around the stage. Jack did remember two words in all of his songs, "moo" and "baa". My little singer was great and looked so super cute on the stage. The lighting in the chapel is horrible so some of the pictures aren't that great, but you get the idea. My family took Jack out to dinner after his program and singing must make a toddler very hungry because he ate and ate and ate.

Helping Daddy With The Dishes

How can something I have never met, felt, or touched consume my every thought? I think about the baby we lost 24/7. I know there is nothing that we could have done to prevent this loss but, I can't help thinking about every little thing I did during this pregnancy and wondering if in some way that caused this. I also have selfish thoughts when I see little babies or hear that others are pregnant... why do they get to have a baby, why don't I get to have my baby, what makes them more ready to be a parent than me, what did I do to deserve to lose this baby. The thought of being around someone pregnant and hearing all about how wonderful everything is, or seeing somebody with a tiny baby make me beyond sad and I avoid that situation at all cost and have a feeling I will continue to do so for quite awhile. It is not that I do not wish these people all the best but I can't let myself be happy about there baby when I just lost mine. My job has been very difficult this last week, in the fact that I take care of babies and wonder all the time why all these people were blessed with happy healthy babies. DO NOT get me wrong, I am grateful EVERYDAY that I have Jack, he is my world and without him I would still be laying in bed feeling depressed but, having Jack doesn't make it any easier of a loss. I know that we will be pregnant again, hopeful sooner rather than later and that we will give birth to a healthy happy baby but, baby number #2 will always be in my thoughts and the what ifs will always be there.

Before we moved Jack loved getting under the sink in our bathroom. He would take everything out from under the sink and throw it in the bathtub and then sit under there forever and open and shut the door. He would laugh and laugh every time I acted scared when he popped open the door.

I have been suck a slacker with the blog.... our worlds have been crazy!! Alec got a promotion at work and he has been super busy with that. We bought a house and have been crazy busy trying to make our little house a home. We also suffered a huge loss last week with the loss of baby # 2. I have never been so devastated and am still trying to emotional recovery. I am going to try and be better about blogging because Jack is getting huge with more and more personality by the minute. In September we went to Octoberfest with some friends. We had a great time and Jack loved playing with his friends and going in the bounce houses. He is a little dare devil and goes down those huge slides head first. Here are a few pictures of our fun day!!

Petting Zoo And The Aquarium

Jack, Aunt Megs, Bell and Owen and I had a play date a few weeks ago. We first went to the petting zoo where Jack got his first pony ride. He wasn't so sure at first, but then he seemed to somewhat enjoy it. We then went and looked at the sheep, pigs, etc. Jack was not having so much fun, so we didn't stay very long. We then headed over the the aquarium. It was SO crowded, but we had a fun time. Jack loved trying to touch the sting rays or playing in the water. My friend Kim and her husband went on a weekend getaway a few weeks ago and I offered to watch their son Gus. Jack and Gus have gone to school together since they were itty bitty's and Gus loves me! : ) We had Gus from Friday night to Sunday night and Jack loved it!! He loved having a friend around all the time. These two were so cute together and were also serious trouble makers together... spilling juice all over the tile and then having tons of fun splashing around in it. Any guesses as to what Jack's favorite drink is??? Well it's coffee.... yes it's true my fifteen month old loves the sugary coffee drinks. My mom and I got iced coffee drinks the other day, I sat my drink down for a second turned around and Jack had my drink and was going to town. Luckily there wasn't much left in mine. He then realized Grandma had a nice big cup full and enjoyed a few sips of hers as well. Now before you run off to report me to the bad parenting police, I don't give it to him everyday but, how can you resist that smiling happy face that is signing please over and over... YOU CAN'T!!!

Re-arranging Jack's Room!!

A few weeks ago Jack decided that he wanted to do a little re-arranging in his room. I was in the kitchen making dinner and Jack was in his room playing. It got very quiet all of a sudden.... never a good sign. I went to see what was going on and he was in his dresser re-arranging all of his clothes. What a big helper!!! He was having the best time and it allowed me to finish dinner. : ) Thanks for being such a big help bugs, I don't know how I would get anything done without you.

The other night I was in the kitchen making dinner and Jack decided he would be helpful and pull out all of the baking sheets, etc. He was so proud of himself!!! Viva Las Vegas

We went to Vegas at the end of May to visit my grandparents. My mom, dad, jack and I drove down thursday afternoon. Alec, Sean, Megan, Mads and Clay all got there late Friday night. My uncle and two aunts were also down visiting my grandparents so we had tons of fun. Jack did so well on the drive. He slept most of the way down and was happy and playing whenever he was awake. Jack was beyond thrilled to get to spend all this time with grandma and especially grandpa. He had the biggest smile every morning when we would meet up with my parents for the day. We did some shopping, eating and lots of spending time together. I was excited that my grandparents finally got to meet Jack and got to spend his first birthday with him. We had such a fun time and we can't wait to go again!!

Hair Cut

Jack has needed a haircut for awhile, but I couldn't bring myself to cut it. I didn't want to lose my baby and gain a big boy. When he moved to the toddler class Alec said, we really need to cut it. I finally gave in and let my sister cut it. She did a great job and he looks super cute!! Here are a few pictures of the before and after. They aren't that great but hopefully you get the idea.

The Big Move!!

Jack made the big move to the toddler class about a month ago. I was excited and sad for him to move out of the baby room with me but, he loves his new class!! His teachers are so sweet and he loves to play with them. It has been an adjustment for me and Jack. He still gets upset when he sees me or hears me in the hallway so I have to sneak around his room. He is super cute when I pick him up at the end of the day. His gives me lots of hugs and kisses!! I still can't believe his is old enough to be in the toddler class. Time flies when you are having fun! : )

Jack started walking a week after his birthday. He was still a big fan of the crawling because he was much faster that way. But in the last couple weeks he has become a full on walker. He is everywhere and definitely keeps us on our toes!! Someday I wish he would go back to just laying around. : )

Jack's Birthday Party!

We had Jack's birthday party yesterday because we will be in Las Vegas for his actually birthday visiting my grandparents. We had family and close friends come over to celebrate. Jack was super cute and loved visiting with everyone and opening presents. I made him a caterpillar cake because we have called him bugs since the day he was born, he was not a fan of his cake. He didn't even want to touch it. I wasn't surprised by this, he hates to have his hands and feet dirty. He cried when we tried to make him touch it, so we just took him out and let him play with his new toys. Happy almost birthday bugs!! We love you!!!!

Jack and I are both ready for summer!! Daddy is probably ready too. : ) Jack looks like such a big boy in his t-shirts and shorts. I can't believe that he is almost a year old!! We got him a swing set for his birthday and he LOVES it!! We go out every night and he swings forever and then climbs up the little stairs and slides down. He has the biggest smile the entire time. He even throws a fit when we tell him its time to come inside for bath and bed. I will have to get pictures of him play on the swing set soon and post them.

Mother's Day

I had a great first mother's day!! I am so grateful to be Jack's mommy. He is the best baby and is my greatest blessing and joy. For mother's day Jack and Alec got me a zoo pass and we went and put it to use right away. I will say that the zoo is really sad right now.... most of the animals are gone. Despite that fact we had a good time. Jack seemed to have a good time. He just stared at the animals and made sounds. After that we came home and put Jack down for his nap and I got a three hour nap as well it was heaven!! We then stopped by Alec's parents house and then headed over to my parents. I am so thankful for my mom, she is the best!! She has always been there for me and helped me with whatever I need. She has been such a great example to me and I hope that I can be the type of mom to Jack that my mom is to me. Love you mom and love you bugs, thanks for letting me be your mommy!!!

One more month and you are a year, is that even possible?? You are getting bigger and funnier by the day! You are starting to stand up all on your own and using your lion push toy to get all over the house. You are eating big boy food and starting to feed yourself with a spoon. You love bath time and your new favorite thing to do is put your face in the water and blow bubbles and then come up laughing. It is so funny!! You are waving at everyone and love to wave at mom and dad when we drop you off at school. You are still a super cuddly baby and love to just sit and snuggle!! Jack loves to play in the exer-saucer at school and at home! He loves it even more when the seat is out of it. Last week we had the seat out of the one at school because we were washing it and Jack was in heaven. Wow ten months!! That is getting so close to a year, it makes me sad!! Jack you are getting cuter and funnier by the day!! You love standing and pulling your self up on everything!! You are eating almost everything that mommy and daddy eat and loving it!! You love to sit at the table and feed yourself, you get such a big smile on your face when you get it in your mouth. You love to dance! Whenever mommy or daddy turn on the music you get your one hand bouncing up and down to the beat. You are also getting a little sassy! You are starting to yell when you don't get what you want and starting to cry and put your hands up to your face and then peek around your little hands to make sure we can really see how sad you are. : ) Mommy was holding you the other day and you patted me and looked up and then said ma-ma and then looked at me and grandma with a huge smile!! Jack loves to stand up on anything and everything that he can. His new favorite thing to do it to stand at the back door and watch whatever it going on outside. Last weekend Alec was outside using the bbq and Jack was in heaven standing at the door and watching him. When you watch the video you can tell when Alec really gets into his line of vision because he gets super excited!!

Jack has always been a great baby. He never cried unless he was super hungry or super tired. He is the same way now. He is just happy all the time even when he is sick he is still happy. He smiles, laughs and waves at everyone! He used to want to jump into your arms if you looked at him. Recently Jack has decided that baby food is not for him. He wants whatever we are eating!! He will stick his little hand on your plate and grab your food. He is super fast so you really have to watch him to make sure he doesn't get a huge bite in his mouth and choke. There are still so many foods that he can't have but when we are eating something that he can have we always share. : ) The other night we had pasta and mashed potatoes and Jack was in heaven!! Happy Nine Months Bugs!! I can't believe it has already been nine months.... ( I know I say that every month but its true). You are getting bigger and funnier by the day!! You are starting to pull up on everything. You are standing in your crib every morning waiting for mommy or daddy to come get you. You love to stand at the coffee table and try to grab whatever is in arms reach. You are so funny and are always making us laugh. You make the funniest sounds with your mouth and tongue! You LOVE your Nanny Janny and throw quite the fit when I try and take you home. It makes mommy happy and sad at the same time. You have learned to climb the stairs and think grandma and grandpa's house is so great because they have stairs!!! You love going to school and playing with all of your friends and your teachers. You love mommy so much and hate it when I leave or try to put you down. You are such a sweet baby and we LOVE you so so much!!!

Mom and Dad..... Look What I Can Do!!!

So Jack has a new trick.... he can pull himself up on things. I discovered he could do this at 12:00 a.m. one morning when he was crying. Since Jack has been sleeping through the night forever, I figured I would go check and see what the problem was and to my surprise and horror he was standing in his crib. I took him out, got him back to sleep and my dad came over and lowered the mattress the next day. Since then Jack has started pulling up on everything and now believes he can let go of things and try to walk away... after a few falls he has figured out he better keep his hands on whatever he is standing against!!

Jack Gets Tubes

On Feb 19th, Jack got tubes. He was scheduled for surgery at 8:30. We had to be up at Primary Children's at 7 and Jack couldn't eat anything past 4:30. I knew it was not going to be a fun morning with a hungry baby that couldn't eat. Jack did so well. He was just taking everything in. I think being in a new place helped take his mind off the fact he hadn't eaten in forever. I knew that i was going to be a mess and was happy that Jack was happy because that made it easier. We were checked in by Jack's Aunt Liz and then waited to be called back to a room. We were called back to a room and Aunt Megan came in which was a great help for Jack and Mommy!! : ) The Dr. came in looked over Jack and said everything looked great. He was given some motrin and we were sent to the waiting room to wait and wait and wait. Jack ended up falling asleep which was great. Eventually the Dr. came and got Jack.. We were able to walk with them most of the way and then Aunt Megan was able to carry Jack back and sit with him until he fell asleep. I started sobbing as soon as I handed Jack to Megan. I eventually pulled myself together and Alec and I went to the waiting room to wait. We were there two minutes and Megan came and said he was asleep and everything was going well. I started crying again. Eight minutes later the dr. came out and said everything went perfectly and that Jack had a ton of fluid in both ears.... poor baby!! We waited a few more minutes and then got to go back and be with Jack. He was in a great mood and ready to eat. We didn't stay in recovery long because Jack was doing so well and came out of it so fast. When we got home things started to go down hill. Jack was so upset and fussy. He could barely keep his eyes open and slept most of the afternoon in mommies arms. He then got a fever that was super high and would not come down. We eventually got it to come down and Jack spent the night in mommy and daddy's bed. Things still were not good on Sat and we ended up taking Jack back up to Primary Children's on Sunday morning because he wasn't eating and was just so sad. He eventually started to eat a little, so they let us come home. By Sunday night late Jack was back to eating and being his normal happy self. I am so glad that everything is over and that I have my happy smiley baby back.

So last week I was informed that my sweet little eight month old has to get tubes. I know that the procedure is safe and that it takes less than 2 minutes in each ear, so why am I totally freaking out?? When we were in the doctors office, I was calm and collected. We when left I was calm, we got to work and I looked in the back and my sweet baby was sleeping and I just had a melt down. I was crying at the thought of them taking my baby out of my arms and putting him under and him having surgery. I know that it will all be okay in the end and Jack's ear will feel much much better, but I am still scared to death and will be feeling much better on Feb 20th when this is all over and done. Jack's Favorite Babysitter

Two weeks ago my sister babysat Jack, while Alec and I went to his grandpa's funeral. This was the first time Jack has been babysit for several hours and at our house. I know that Jack loves Aunt Mads and that Madison is awesome with Jack but I was still a little nervous to leave him. ( yes we were right across the street the whole time). Happy Eight Months Jack!!! You are getting so big and funnier by the day. You are army crawling everywhere and super fast when you are going to get something you shouldn't have! : ) You are sleeping every night from 8 to 5 and sometimes 8 to 8 which makes mommy so so happy!! Big Boy Car Seat

For my parents Christmas gift we took family pictures. It was super fun and the pictures turned out pretty cute!! It was interesting trying to keep Jack's attention.
